Lead Lab Engineer

As a Lead Lab Engineer, you combine in-depth technical expertise in polymer processing with the leadership of the laboratory team.

• You develop new test methods and interpret and present test results to internal and external stakeholders.
  You act as the key point of contact for processing and application testing of Kane Ace impact modifiers, ensuring that laboratory activities support product development, customer projects, and quality objectives.
  You support and/or coordinate the resolution of production and quality-related issues.

• In addition, you help steer the day-to-day operation of the laboratory, manage priorities, and guide the team in technical and operational decision-making, in close collaboration with the Lead Lab Operator.

• You work closely with colleagues from Technical Marketing, R&D, and Production, as well as with customers, to solve technical challenges and translate test results into practical solutions.

• Master's degree in Engineering (Polymers, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field), or equivalent through experience.

• Familiarity with plastics and polymer processing. Experience with extrusion, compounding, and/or injection molding is considered an asset.

• You combine strong analytical skills with a hands-on engineering mindset and can translate technical challenges into tangible results.

• You are proactive, take ownership, and feel comfortable setting priorities and providing direction for technical projects and a team.

• You build strong connections between the laboratory, production, R&D, and customers, and communicate effectively in both Dutch and English.
